"I'm a miniature schnauzer, and I'm not a dumb dog! I have great fun with the Nina Ottosson interactive games, but this tug-a-jug, even though my mom ordered the small, is totally useless!! :( Frustration is NOT fun, and this toy is so frustrating, I just walk away from it!"

"Ive been wanting one of these for my dogs for a long time. They already have so many toys that I put off buying this one. When they got it for Christmas from their "Aunt", I was so excited. But neither of my dogs could get the treats out. They are both pretty smart and food motivated. The opening is just too small. I put tiny kibbles (about the size of a pea) in the toy and I could barely get them out. I tried the charlee bear treats too and those were much harder. Like I said, I cant even get them out myself. I love this brand of products, but this one isnt the best."

"I was really excited to buy this toy for my dog because she is very smart and likes to be challenged. I tried for days to get her to play with this, and she wouldn't even touch it. I like the concept of challenging toys, but this one is way too hard. I ended up giving the toy to my friend's puppy and he wasn't all that impressed either."

"This toy was bought to keep a young dog occupied and assist with the chewing needs of a pup. So far, it has kept the puppy's interest and is a success. I would recommend it to other dog owners."

"My dog is a service dog, who takes playing seriously, since she is a working dog. When I recieved the Tug A Jug She couldn't wait to play with it. She loves it! She tosses it side to side, throws it, and the treats just fall out. It only took her seconds to learn to play with it. I supervise her play with it since she is a chewer, and she rolls it across the floor, it is so funny. Then all my other goldens try to get it too. It is so funny to watch them all chase after it. But when those treats come out they know they have done something right! I highly recommend this toy, with supervision. Dogs can be just like children, they need to be watched."

"I love the concept behind this well-made toy, but neither of my boys wanted to play with it at all! They much preferred to steal bell boots and brushing boots from the shower stall and chew them."

"I put some treats in this and my dog didn't like it. She has enjoyed other toys that hold treats, but I think they are really hard to get out of this one and she didn't think it was fun. After a short time she didn't play with it at all."

"My pit bull loves chewing and loves toys he can destroy. Ordinarily, if a toy is "indestructible", he loses interest quickly. This combination of treats, playing and chewing make the tug-a-jug perfect! It keeps him mentally entertained and constantly rewarded. He often starts playing with this toy on his own without any treats in it. If he discovers no treats, he is happy to gnaw at the rubber end which has withstood hours of pit bull teeth. He has figured out ways to flip treats out with his paw and even pick the whole jug up and tip the treats out. It's very fun to watch. The only thing I would change is make the rubber "rope" that originally blocked the whole stronger - he sliced right through that in two bites."

Well, the jug is durable June 24, 2008

"I bought this for my puggle because she destroys all of her toys - even the ones that are so-called indestructible. I figured she wouldn't be able to get through something that's bullet-proof! Well, she couldn't chew through the jug part, but within ONE hour of playing with this, she had chewed through the rubber rope so treats no longer stay inside. Too bad they can't make the whole thing bullet-proof...(esp. because while the rope was whole she was totally entertained!)"

Super fun, but not super durable April 4, 2008

"My dog is definitely a power chewer. Plush toys are destroyed in minutes, and even Kongs have a limited life span in my house. I decided to try the Tug-A-Jug since it would give him something to do besides just chew. The first time I gave my dog this toy, he played with it for 3 hours straight. No kidding! Unfortunately, in this time he also chewed the rubber portion off the top of the jug. The rope only lasted a few days longer. You can't put treats in anymore because they just fall out, but it doesn't matter...my dog still LOVES the toy. Apparently he doesn't need the Tug-A-Jug, he is happy with just a jug! He rolls it, chews it, and generally has a great time. Too bad it's not more durable but this is still a great toy."

"I friend recommended this toy to me. I was skeptical that it would work for my dog, as she is extremely intelligent, and I was sure it would be too easy for her to figure out. But I gave it a try anyway, and boy was I pleasantly surprised! The Tug-a-Jug was an instant hit and keeps her occupied for HOURS. I like that it is very durable (great quality materials), and it wasn't that expensive, either! I highly recommend the starter kit, because the Charlee Bear treats work perfectly with it, and they are low calorie. Thanks SmartPak! P.S. my dog is about 60 lbs. and the Medium size is just right for her, if that helps you in your size selection..."

Great toy for smart dogs who are easily bored February 13, 2008

"I got this toy for my 10 month old Jack Russell. It did take her some work to figure out the best method for getting the treats out of the jug, but now she has it down and this is by far her favorite toy. As a vet student, I love that this is a productive outlet for my dog's energy when I am busy with other obligations. Both of my dogs love the Charlee Bear treats (liver flavor seems most popular). This toy has stood up to months of chewing-other toys have been destroyed in less than a day by my JRs."

"We got this as a gift for our Border Collie. It totally keeps him engrossed! We put his meals in it and it lets him work for his food. I also play tug with him using this toy."
