"I have what many people would call a hyperactive dog (at times). That being said, I didn't buy rescue remedy so he would chill out and sleep around my house. He can get fearfully aggressive, so when I go into a situation where there are going to be lots of new dogs I'll give him 4 drops of this on his tongue. I do see a difference with his anxiety when he's on rescue remedy and daily herbal calmers, but not his "hyperness". So I would say this is a great product to treat case by case dog anxiety, like fear of thunderstorms or traveling. It'd be best to give the product to the dog BEFORE that's going to happen though, because it's not an instant "Oh i'm going to be calm now!" effect."

"We have used Rescue Remedy for nearly a decade on a variety of animals and humans alike. We've had a collection of horses over the years with various fear & stress related "issues". Rather than giving them Rx or over the counter calmer, a few drops of Rescue Remedy on a horse treat calms them right down. We've had two dogs suffer with cancer. Chemo treatments are very hard on their nervous system, curbs their appetites, and dehydration is a constant worry. A few drops of Rescue Remedy in their water bowl definitely helped ease their pain, stress, and side effects of the cancer and it's treatment. Lastly, our daughter has been a competitive equestrian for over a decade. At the national level shows, butterflies impeded her ability to concentrate at 100%. A drop (or spray) of Rescue Rememdy under the tongue does the trick! It doesn't impeded her physicial or mental abilities in any form or fashion, it just enables her to relax and focus. She now uses it before any major college exam. If given the option, I will always go with an herbal remedy over an Rx."

"My dogs are very afraid of thunder storms. I gave this product to them and it may have helped a bit. However, there was not a dramatic improvement. It may work for other anxieties. Also, the directions are rather vague. I have 3 dogs rangeing from 14 to 65 pounds. It says to give 4 drops, period. The dogs did love the taste of it but it is tough to count the drops as you place it under their tounge."

"Our lab has always feared thunderstorms. Resuce Remedy seems to calm her down with out making her completely comatose. The stronger drugs from the vet took away her spark. Rescue Remedy took the edge off! Thanks."

"I have used this product in the past for both myself and my horses before and during travel. When I saw that SmartPak sold it for dogs, I was thrilled. I had not considered it for my dogs. I have a dog that gets very anxious when on car trips, to the point of vomiting.
The first time I gave her some Rescue Remedy the trip was wonderful. She even lay down in her crate, didn't have the nervous panting and didn't vomit! I will note, as with my horses, I gave my dog the Rescue before the trip while she was still relaxed. I would totally recommend this product."

"This works well for my dog when I know she's going to be in a stressful situation. I also take it myself when I'm stressed or can't sleep. I always have a bottle on hand for each of us! Just make sure you put it on a mucus membrane like your dog's gums or under your tongue - it doesn't work when put on food, as flower essences aren't digested the way herbs and nutrients are. You can also put it in water."

"My six pound poodle took a double dose of Rescue Remedy and lasted one mile in our car before starting his "Howls of Death" which lasts for however long he is in the car. He can go on for hours. I would give anything to get something, non-prescription, that would keep him quiet in a car!!!"

"I used Rescue Remedy on my 6 hour car ride home for the holidays. I have a little dog that hate the car and a cat that hates it even more. I gave each of them a couple drops before we left the house and with in 30 min the dog was sleeping and the cat was quiet. It even lasted about 5 hours. I highly recommend this product for any stressful situation."

"During thunderstorms my 110 lb golden retriever and my 95 lb black lab become very nervous and upset. My golden will try to climb in my lap and my lab wants to hide in the shower or basement- good times at my house! Now I give them a few drops of Rescue Remedy and they are able to lay down and relax during the storm. The difference is remarkable. I always have a bottle on hand now."

"Our vet recommended Rescue Remedy, and we use it for our horse whenever she gets stressed. We began using it for vet and farrier visits, and it helped her get over her fear. We give it to her now before loading her into the trailer, and I always keep it in my show bag in case we need it for the trip home. We squirt it on a treat, and she eats it happily. It works wonders."
