"We live on a ranch and practice natural horse keeping. This means that while all of our horses are very content, their manes and tails pick up lots of burrs and stickers. Show sheen used during regular grooming helps to quickly remove these unwanted, nasty things because it coats the hair shaft. We have Morgans and their manes and tails are long and beautiful."

"Showsheen is an amazing product. At my show barn we use Showsheen for eveything. When we need to take photos of horses that are for sale, we use it. It makes the horses look great. It's awesome for shows and makes the coat shine and the tail flow... the horse stands out. Showsheen is also perfect for horses who have knotted tails. It makes brushing the tail easy and gets all the knots out without breaking the hair. Overall, it is a great product; the only thing is that it has a slight residue. But it keeps dust off!"

"I've always been a fan of show sheen. It is a staple in our barn for shows or any other time we want a shiny, tangle free horse. My only complaint: if you pet your horse while wearing gloves, they end up slippery and it becomes hard to hold the reins."

"I've always used show sheen in preparation for shows. A spritz on white socks after a wash keeps them dirt free until you go in the ring. I use it VERY sparingly in the tail to detangle and keep it clean until the show. If I'm not braiding, I might put a bit on the mane too. It's also useful for spot prevention if you've got one that likes to lay in their own poo...
If you use Show Sheen mainly for show time or occasionally for dirt management after a shampoo, you'll love it. Don't use it everyday, and especially don't use it too often on tails because it is drying. I much prefer Show Sheen to Cowboy Magic and other products as a detangler and spot preventer because it leaves less residue.
Again, great great product if you use it for what it's intended - shows = ) Use too often, and you will get dried out hair. But it will absolutely keep the dirt off and the tangles out!"

"Show Sheen does exactly what it says it will, it creates a beautiful shine (on any coat) and will help detangle even the worst tangle you can imagine. I know from experience, when we purchased (rescued really) a broodmare at a sheriff's auction I was amazed at how long and pretty her tail seemed to be. Once I was able to get "hands on" I realized the ENTIRE middle of her tail from dock to her pastern was ONE HUGE MAT! It was like the most giant cocoon you could imagine. It must have weighed two pounds. One entire bottle, and several hours of work, later the matt was removed (much to her delight) without significant hair loss, or pulling on her dock. On the down side, Show Sheen does seem to dry the hair and with repeated use will cause the hair to break more easily. Great for shows, and super snarls, but not something I use daily."

"I know this is the standard for conditioner, but I do not like the product. I have used it for years (as I had never tried anything else) and it does get the horse shiny initially, but it also makes him slippery, so the saddle can slip if the show sheen gets on the middle of the horse. It also ALWAYS gets on my hands, no matter how hard I try not to touch it, and then the reains slip through my fingers. If I pat my horse's neck, I have ot wash my hands immediatly or not ride! After using it, I have to wash my horse with shampoo. And worst of all, it attracts dirt, so in the long run it causes more issues than benefits.
If anyone is looking for a better alternative, there is a brand called Espana that I like much better. It smells better, works better and has no side effects. No more show sheen for me thank you!"

"I have been using show sheen for years. I have tried other products such as the gels and other sprays you mix yourself but I always go back to showsheen. I use it to keep my horses tail easy to brush and looking beautiful. I also have used it before clipping a horse to help my clippers glide more easily through the coat. I also use it on white socks to help keep them clean. No matter what other prouduct I use, I always go back to showsheen."
